Job Description:

Our client, a growing insurance company is looking to hire an Accountant to start right away in Sterling, VA. Recent graduates, as well as experienced accountants, will be considered. The position will be working on location 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Aid in monthly closings and reports
• Monthly financial reports for GAAP
• Assist in budget forecasts
• Auditing and analyzing financial performance
• Additional duties as needed and directed
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills / team player
