Job Description:

Neustar, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer II (Sterling, VA)

Duties: Design, develop, and document software applications. Participate in

and lead design and code reviews. Develop front-end portals and user

interfaces using various web technologies including HTML, JSF, JSP, CSS,

JavaScript, and JQuery. Develop application software using technologies

such as Java/J2EE, Spring, SEAM, EJB and database technologies including

JPA and Hibernate. Develop web services APIs for products using various

technologies including SOAP, WSDL, and XML Beans. Develop new programs and

proof programs to assure production of quality products. Responsible for

analysis of bug-fixes including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting

of issues. Work with QA teams to stabilize and complete project

functionality. Prepare Design Documents, Flowcharts, ER Diagrams, and High

Level and Low Level Design Documents for various telecom applications.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of

experience performing Java/J2EE software engineering, OR, alternatively, a

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of

experience as indicated above.

Special Requirements:

Also requires demonstrated expertise: performing Java/J2EE development

utilizing Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, SOAP, JSP, EJB, JavaScript, and

JQuery; DE utilizing JPA and Hibernate to configure web applications on

JBoss and Tomcat application servers; DE performing database design and

developing complex queries, triggers, and functions using SQL, MySQL, and

Oracle; DE performing automation testing using QTP, and developing test

plans; and DE interfacing with customers, end users, and product owners to

perform requirements gathering and troubleshooting.
