Job Description:
Neustar, Inc. seeks a Senior Information Security Engineer
Manager in Sterling, VA. Duties: Develop and implement the application security program
through automation, process improvement, etc. Perform technical
application security assessments (including architecture review, code
review, and remediation) to identify assets, threats and vulnerabilities.
Act as liaison between internal risk departments and technology teams
such as operations and engineering. Continually keep up-to-date on
changes to technology, the regulatory landscape, and business changes to
evaluate their impacts on the risks and controls and make necessary modifications. Be informed and aware of IT projects and how they
are impacting the application security risk landscape. Convey
security design principles to development and engineering teams to build
security into the SDLC. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign
equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems,
or a related field and four (4) years of experience performing
application security assessments and implementing security activities
OR, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a
related field and six (6) years of experience as indicated above. Special Requirements: Also requires demonstrated expertise
(DE): performing and reviewing static security test results using HP
Fortify; performing web application penetration testing and
vulnerability assessments, and configuring and managing web application
firewalls; conveying security design principles to development and
engineering teams to build security into the SDLC; working within
application security frameworks, including BSIMM, and utilizing OWASP tools
and methodologies; utilizing technologies including, Java, J2EE,
PHP, Eclipse, Jenkins and Maven to develop and implement security
software applications; implementing security and access requirements
for application deployment into JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat,
IIS, and Apache web servers; and working with security tools including,
Burp Suite, Veracode, WebInspect, Wireshark, Nexpose, and
